The project that improved the Repository in a nutshell"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">REPOPSI is an open repository where you can find (and store your own) psychological instruments, such as tests, scales, and questionnaires.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lira.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LIRA Lab<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0launched the Repository in March 2020. At that time, REPOPSI had 129 records \u2013 as of July 2023, there are 200. But the increase in the number of instruments is not our only achievement. Our efforts to promote REPOPSI to a wider audience led to more crowdsourced contributions. We have also improved the Repository&#8217;s adherence to the principles of Open Science, making it possible for REPOPSI to serve as a role model for the development of other smaller-scale open repositories of research data.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most significant moment for REPOPSI was when we were awarded a \u20ac50,000 grant from the EOSC Future and Research Data Alliance (RDA). The graphs below show how REPOPSI\u2019s FAIR-ness improved, compared to the start of the project.<\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1300\" easily accessed by the users<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/how-to-contribute-to-repopsi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Made the Repository contribution form available as an online survey<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so that anyone who wishes to make their original instruments and instrument translations openly available in REPOPSI can do so more efficiently<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/how-to-search-repopsi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Developed an interactive, open-source web app<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to make browsing and accessing REPOPSI records easier and quicker<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.5281\/zenodo.8178798\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Put REPOPSI metadata values into XML documents following the DataCite Metadata Schema and implemented a FAIR-compliant controlled vocabulary<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to enrich metadata and make them machine-understandable (i.e. able to be processed by machines, without human intervention).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WP2: Disseminating the activities of the project<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second WP was focused on communicating the results of the project, advertising REPOPSI to a wider user base, and promoting further uptake of RDA outputs.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of WP2, we:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attended the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.rd-alliance.org\/plenaries\/rda-20th-plenary-meeting-gothenburg-hybrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RDA\u2019s 20th Plenary<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Gothenburg, Sweden, and participated in the RDA\/EOSC Future Satellite Event \u201c<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.rd-alliance.org\/save-date-global-research-commons-europe-and-beyond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Building blocks of Global Research Commons: Europe and beyond<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d (the photo below shows Aleksandra, in the middle, at the \u201cThe glue to a successful Commons: Interoperability\u201d and demonstrate new REPOPSI technologies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Onboarded REPOPSI as a new service to the EOSC Portal<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fairsharing.org\/4918\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Added REPOPSI as a new database entry to the FAIRsharing.org Registry<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will continue sharing <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/blog\/\">blog posts and news<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the website. We will also keep promoting the project outputs via LIRA Lab\u2019s social media accounts on <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LiraLab.Bgd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LiraLab_Bgd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/lira-lab-bgd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so make sure to be on the lookout for the <strong>#REPOPSI<\/strong> hashtag.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>WP3: Improving the completeness of the data in the Repository<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The third WP was designed with the goal to increase the number of REPOPSI records.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, we recruited and trained three psychology master&#8217;s students from the University of Belgrade &#8211; Faculty of Philosophy to assist us with WP3 activities: <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/w63ak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aleksandar S. Milovanovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/cd3qp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Milica Damnjanovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/kzpu6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Milica Miti\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1237\" src=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/student-assistants.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/student-assistants.png 960w, https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/student-assistants-480x270.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 960px, 100vw\" \/> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, student assistants searched the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eteze.bg.ac.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">E-theses repository<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and documented the relevant doctoral theses and psychological instruments available in them. After the senior project members determined which instruments satisfied the copyright and quality requirements to be opened in REPOPSI, student assistants started filling in the online REPOPSI contribution forms and contacting corresponding authors where more information was needed.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This way, we recorded <\/span><b>120 <\/b>new original instruments and instrument translations<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; most of them can be made fully open in REPOPSI, while the rest will be available upon request or at an external website. A total of 15 records were added to REPOPSI in July 2023. The graphs below show how REPOPSI\u2019s FAIR-ness improved, compared to the start of the project.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/improvement-chart-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"2371\" height=\"1415\" \/>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of WP1, we:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Created a new website<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to ensure that all important information is more transparently declared and more easily accessed by the users<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/how-to-contribute-to-repopsi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Made the Repository contribution form available as an online survey<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so that anyone who wishes to make their original instruments and instrument translations openly available in REPOPSI can do so more efficiently<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/how-to-search-repopsi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Developed an interactive, open-source web app<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to make browsing and accessing REPOPSI records easier and quicker<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.5281\/zenodo.8178798\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Put REPOPSI metadata values into XML documents following the DataCite Metadata Schema and implemented a FAIR-compliant controlled vocabulary<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to enrich metadata and make them machine-understandable (i.e. able to be processed by machines, without human intervention).<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>WP2: Disseminating the activities of the project<\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second WP was focused on communicating the results of the project, advertising REPOPSI to a wider user base, and promoting further uptake of RDA outputs.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of WP2, we:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attended the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.rd-alliance.org\/plenaries\/rda-20th-plenary-meeting-gothenburg-hybrid\">RDA\u2019s 20th Plenary<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Gothenburg, Sweden, and participated in the RDA\/EOSC Future Satellite Event \u201c<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.rd-alliance.org\/save-date-global-research-commons-europe-and-beyond\">Building blocks of Global Research Commons: Europe and beyond<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d (the photo below shows Aleksandra, in the middle, at the \u201cThe glue to a successful Commons: Interoperability\u201d session)<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1236\" src=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/rda.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2047\" height=\"1257\" \/>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oscs.open.ac.rs\/index.php\/kategorije\/10-kategorije\/321-radionica-repopsi2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Organized an online workshop<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in cooperation with the Open Science Community Serbia to share lessons learned and demonstrate new REPOPSI technologies<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.eosc-portal.eu\/services\/eosc.ubfzf.repopsi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Onboarded REPOPSI as a new service to the EOSC Portal<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fairsharing.org\/4918\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Added REPOPSI as a new database entry to the FAIRsharing.org Registry<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will continue sharing <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/en\/blog\/\">blog posts and news<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the website. We will also keep promoting the project outputs via LIRA\u2019s social media accounts on <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LiraLab.Bgd\/\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LiraLab_Bgd\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/lira-lab-bgd\">LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so make sure to be on the lookout for the <strong>#REPOPSI<\/strong> hashtag.<\/span>\r\n<h2>WP3: Improving the completeness of the data in the Repository<\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The third WP was designed with the goal to increase the number of REPOPSI records.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, we recruited and trained three psychology master's students from the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Philosophy to assist us with WP3 activities: <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/w63ak\/\">Aleksandar S. Milovanovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/cd3qp\/\">Milica Damnjanovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/kzpu6\/\">Milica Miti\u0107<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1237\" src=\"https:\/\/www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/student-assistants.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, student assistants searched the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eteze.bg.ac.rs\/\">E-theses repository<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and documented the relevant doctoral theses and psychological instruments available in them. After the senior project members determined which instruments satisfied the copyright and quality requirements to be opened in REPOPSI, student assistants started filling in the online REPOPSI contribution forms and contacting corresponding authors where more information was needed.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This way, we recorded <\/span><b>120 <\/b>new original instruments and instrument translations<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; most of them can be made fully open in REPOPSI, while the rest will be available upon request or at an external website. A total of 15 records were added to REPOPSI in July 2023.
